The Travel Trailer is a non-motorized RV designed to be towed by a pickup truck, SUV or, for smaller units, even a car. These units offer all the amenities of home. Depending on the model and floorplan, some units can sleep up to 10 people, which makes them ideal for larger families.

A Travel Trailer is probably one of the most flexible and versatile RVs in the marketplace today. Models can include smaller units with basic features to larger units with triple slide-outs, two bedrooms and all the comforts and conveniences of home. They range from a compact 13-foot unit able to be towed with a car to 36-foot units requiring a pickup truck or other truck-based tow vehicle. And, of course, everything in between.
Floorplans and amenities in Travel Trailers are almost endless. Options can include zero, one, two or three slide-outs, one or two entry/exit doors, full size bed(s) and/or bunk beds, compact or full-size refrigerators, stoves with ovens, multiple dining facilities, full bathroom facilities with a tub/shower, and the list goes on and on.
Some Travel Trailers today offer slide-out bunks in the front and rear, much like a Pop-Up Camper. These offer all the benefits of a hard-sided RV while increasing the sleeping capacity in a shorter unit. Others offer telescoping units, which can be raised for camping and lowered for towing and storage in a garage or carport.
As with all towables, you have the benefit of a vehicle to use while set up at camp. Conversely, the Travel Trailer's facilities are available for use only when stopped, as opposed to a motorized RV's facilities which are available while moving.
In short, Travel Trailers offer a wide variety of sizes, price ranges, options and floorplans. They are ideal for weekend getaways and extended vacations, and are even perfectly adaptable for full-timing.
